New Air Traffic Control Recording Reveals Pilot’s Encounter With UFOs Above His Commercial Airplane

In Brief

  • The Facts:
    • Radio communications between airline pilots and the Los Angeles Air Route Traffic Control Center on August 18, 2022 reveal a startling UFO encounter.

    • Multiple UFOs were performing maneuvers well above the air craft.

    • The UFOs were spotted by multiple commercial airliners.

  • Reflect On:
    • Will views, opinions and evidence about UFOs be censored if they don't fit the 'official' explanations that will be given to us by governments?

    • Can we rely on governments and big media to provide an accurate picture of this important phenomena and events when there are so many examples of misinformation?

The recording below comes from radio communications between airline pilots and the Los Angeles Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) in the early morning hours of August 18, 2022.

A Gulfstream 650 and an American Airlines flight both reported witnessing multiple UFOs while overflying the Catalina and Channel Islands area. The retired F-18 pilot describes multiple objects getting very bright, then dimming, then getting bright again and moving in multiple directions, including in circles.

It’s noteworthy that the ARTCC employee expresses that she was getting calls from other pilots who were witnessing the same phenomenon during that time. It seems by the conversation between the pilot and the air traffic controller that this seems to be something more common than one would think. Encounters between commercial and military pilots with UFOs have been well documented for decades.

A number of prominent UFO researchers have posted this recording and are currently in the process of requesting more information about it via the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). This particular audio was obtained in a FOIA request directly from the Federal Aviation Administration archives. As more information becomes available, we will update this story.

These objects have been observed and tracked on radar performing maneuvers that no known man-made piece of machinery can whilst travelling at unobtainable speeds. Another common theme is that these objects approach human aircraft in a curious manner.

In an interview with Dr. Richard F. Haines, a former chief scientist at NASA, he explains that thousands of encounters have been documented with commercial pilots. This is nothing new, and there are multiple recordings one can gain access to. The above example seems to be the most recent that has made its way into the public domain.

John Callahan was a Division Chief of the Accidents and Investigations Branch of the FAA in Washington. He made a few headlines when he told the world about a 1986 Japanese Airlines 747 flight that was followed by a UFO for 31 minutes over the Alaskan skies. Mr. Callahan was able to secure video tape and audio evidence of the event. As explained by Reuters in 2007, he said that “the CIA in 1987 tried to hush up the sighting of a huge lighted ball four times the size of a jumbo jet in Alaska.”

In addition to the eye-witness testimony given by all three crew members when they were interviewed during the investigation that followed, the FAA eventually provided radar data from the event and transcripts of radio tower chatter with the plane.

Back in 2007, this would be something to ignore and dismiss as a “conspiracy theory.” Today with all of the data that’s been released, it’s not. That’s why I thought I’d share this interview with Callahan below from more than a decade ago.

Encounters with military aircraft over multiple decades have also occurred. One prominent example I love to use involves an Iranian military encounter from 1976 where weapon systems of multiple jets went offline when they tried to fire upon the objects.

Dr. Haines explains that in 50 percent of the cases he’s come across, these objects approach our aircraft, not the other way around.  Haines goes on to say that the phenomenon seems to perform evasive maneuvers to avoid our aircraft as to not create any sort of potential for a collision. This part of the interview reminds me of the following quote from General Nathan Twining in 1947.

“The phenomenon reported is something real and not visionary or fictitious…The reported operating characteristics such as extreme rates of climb, maneuverability, (particularly in roll), and the actions which must be considered evasive when sighted or contacted by friendly aircraft and radar, lend belief to the possibility that some of the objects are controlled either manually, automatically or remotely.”

Despite sightings and documented encounters that seem to span thousands of years, governments around the world continue to use “threat” language, explaining that the phenomenon represents a problem.
